The Way Forward

Firstly thank you for choosing to join us at www.the-big-society.org As you are aware we have no political affiliation and are purely a voluntary organisation. We receive no funding whatsoever .We are very grateful to our web design company who have been incredibly generous (If you want their details drop us a line).

Your participation in the idea means that you are helping to create a better society for all, whether you are posting projects, ideas, comments or simply being ready to help out if something fits right with you.

We have members who are only connected via the main site as well as members who are just linked through Facebook or Twitter, of course there are also some who use them all!

We have projects posted from many different countries now too. Currently we only add countries/locations as and when requested but if you would like somewhere added even without something to post please let us know.

In fact please let us know if there is anything we can do to make things better.

The more people join and the more “items” that get listed the better the idea will work, we need you to help the site grow!

Please post anything that you are involved in, if you know someone involved in something let them know or even post for them!

We are even happy to see posts regarding campaigns close to your heart that you are perhaps not even involved in – why not help by raising awareness more?

Without funding we can only grow through your support so please let as many people know about us as possible, why not forward this newsletter to your friends, colleagues and other contacts?

If each member/user enables just one more person to join and this continues just think how big the idea will grow. It’s a magnificent thought that by simply telling someone something a better future will develop.

Recovery Road Wellness Project is a charity registered in England and Wales (No. 1142927). Our main area of focus is on providing individuals currently experiencing withdrawal due to tranquilliser and antidepressant dependency with self-help and coping strategies and by empowering those who are recovered or are in the final stages of recovery with the resources they need to be able to move on.

Can I say what a great idea I think this is, how can we create the world we want to live in if we don’t start somewehere?

Once you have registered you can begin to add your campaign, remember it can be absolutely anything as long as it is beneficial to somebody, (not profit making) and not detrimental to anyone. Examples are campaigns to “Save our….” “Start…” “volunteers needed”

You can easily add any templates you may have created such as letters to MPs’, flyers or anything! You can even create petitions with our ready to use facility.
